Devotion 1 of 2: Josh 21
In this chapter we see 48 cities with their common-lands assigned to Levi (v.41). Then v.42 says that the Lord gave to Israel all the land of which he had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it. Furthermore, v.45 declares, “Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.”
These are marvelous, encouraging verses! Because just as God gave to Israel all the land of Canaan as he had promised them, so he will give the fulfillment of all his promises to the church in the last days! If he doesn’t, then those unfulfilled promises will become empty and without meaning! (To be continued...)

Devotion 2 of 2: John 14, Josh 22
(Continuing...) (2/2)
Two promises I am believing God will fulfill are John 14:12, “He who believes in me, the works that I do he will do also and greater works than these he will do!” and Rev 7:9, 14, “A great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne…clothed with white robes…These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”
JOSH 22: Free sharing!
2.5 tribes finally released to return to their inheritance on east side of Jordan (v.1-9). But they built an altar on their side, which caused the 9.5 tribes to get angry (v.10-12). They sent a delegation to talk (v.13-20) and found out that the 2.5 tribes built the altar, not for offering sacrifices, but as a witness of their common faith with the west bank Israelis, so the altar was accepted (v.21-34).
Many times things that people do look bad, but when we take the time to talk with them, we hear their side and realize it wasn’t bad at all! Before we judge, let’s take the time to talk with people and try to understand them.
