Devotion 1 of 2: Deut 17
God instructed Israel about the king they would have in the future. He said that the king should not do 3 things: 1) Multiply horses (v.16); 2) Multiply wives and 3) Multiply silver and gold for himself (v.17). The reason is “lest his heart turn away” (v.17).
Sad to say, these 3 things are exactly what King Solomon did, according to 1 Kings 10:14-28 and 11:1-8, and, as a result, his heart was turned away from God to worshiping idols. So the golden age of Israel lasted from David to only the 1st half of Solomon’s reign.
We need to heed the teaching of God’s Word in order to fulfill our calling to be kings and priests of Christ on earth and bring forth revival in the world!

Devotion 2 of 2: Rom 1
Among the list of sins in this chapter are practicing the lesbian and gay lifestyles (v.26-27). I believe that even though one might feel the temptation of homosexuality, he/she can avoid sinning by not giving in to that temptation and not practicing homosexual acts but choosing to live the single lifestyle.
But I also believe we should not hate or reject LBGTQ+ people but love and pray for them, and if any are seeking truth, share the love and salvation that Jesus provided through the cross.
