Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 7

In v.3-5, David shows responsibility for his behavior by saying if he has done any wrong, he deserves to be punished.
This is so different from a political leader in my country who is always blaming others, like the judge or the district attorney or the witnesses who testify against him or the Democratic party or the Justice Department or the president of the U.S., etc., for trying him in court for the crimes he committed! He shows no sense of responsibility for his very bad and even evil behavior, which includes raping women!
I want to be responsible, like David, to admit my fault when I sin and be willing to accept the punishment God gives me.

PS 8: Free sharing!
In v.3-8, David expresses awe at how God values man and has elevated him above his creation of animals, birds and fish. I believe in eternity God will even elevate man to rule over his entire created universe because he has made us to be the bride of his son, the co-creator of the universe!

Devotion 2 of 2: Acts 2

ACTS 2: Answers! (2/2)
1) A) Acts 10:44-48. When Gentiles at Cornelius’ house heard the gospel through Peter, believed and received the outpouring of the Spirit, confirming to the Jews that they were saved, just like the Jews!

B) Acts 19:1-7. When Paul visited Ephesus and taught 12 disciples there about receiving the Holy Spirit, which they hadn’t heard about. After teaching them, Paul prayed and laid hands on them, and they received, spoke in tongues and prophesied.

2) A) Joel 2:28-32
B) Because v.30-31 didn’t apply to Acts 2 but to the endtime, showing there are 2 fulfillments for this prophecy.
C) In the early church in Acts 2 and in the endtime, beginning from 1906 until the end of this world age.
