Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 5
Many psalms by David are good material for doing spiritual warfare against Satan and other enemies that we face.
One thing to note is that David has a strong personal relationship with God through meditation and prayer in the morning (v.1-3). We also see David was faithful to go to the house of the Lord, which would have been the Tabernacle of David in those days (v.7). Based on these 2 factors, he has confidence that God would destroy the workers of iniquity (v.5-6) and defend and bless him (v.11-12).
Let us also develop a strong personal relationship with God and be faithful to the house of the Lord, the church to overcome our enemies!
PS 6: Free sharing!
In this psalm, David is going through a very difficult time, so he cries out to God with tears (v.6) for mercy and help to deliver him from his enemies (v.1-4). We, too, go through trials sometimes. Let’s seek the Lord fervently because he is gracious and merciful to those in need!
