Devotion 1 of 1: Ex 35
In order for Moses’ Tabernacle (MT) to be built the people had to give 2 things: 1) Their possessions (v.5-9) and 2) their abilities, or talents, or gifts (v.10-19). So it is with the church. For our possessions, we give the tithe, or 10% of our income, and we also may give other things, like food, etc. And for our abilities, we may give music, or dance, or tech skills, or cleaning, or interpreting, or videography, or organizing, etc. When we all work together in unity and love, the church of Christ is formed!
EX 36 answers:
1) Bottom = Fine linen (v.8-13), 2nd covering = goats’ hair (v.14-18), 3rd = rams skins (v.19), 4th = badger skins (v.19).
2) 50 is the no. of Pentecost and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God will pour out the Holy Spirit upon the church in the LD in a powerful way to make us one!
