Devotion 1 of 2: Ex 3

Moses was living a mediocre life, leading his flock in the desert. There was nothing that signified he was going to become the greatest deliverer in history and save his whole nation from slavery! What changed him? A burning bush encounter with God that showed him who God was – the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (v.6), what his calling was – to deliver the Jews from Egypt and lead them back to Canaan (v.8-10), what authority he was given – to strike Egypt with God’s wonders (v.20), and what the result would be – the Jews delivered with great wealth (v.22)! Let’s seek God until we encounter him as Moses did at the burning bush!

Devotion 2 of 2: Ex 4

(2/2)
Moses was not a proud or self-confident person! He was before, when he tried to help them the first time but was rejected (Ex 2:11-15)! He spent the next 40 years of his life without meaning or purpose, feeling dejected and thinking he was a failure. So he needed something from God that would insure he wouldn’t be rejected again! God answered by giving him 3 signs: his rod turning into a serpent, his hand turning leprous, and water turning into blood (v.1-9)! Let’s seek God to impart signs and wonders to us to assure we can impact millions and lead them from the world to the kingdom of God!
