Devotion 1 of 2: Job 34

In this chapter, Elihu further makes clear what Job’s mistake was in v.5-6, 9, 34-37. In other words, Job thought he didn’t deserve punishment for his sins, so God was wrong to punish him! But Elihu’s answer is clear in v.12, “Surely God will never do wickedly, nor will the Almighty pervert justice.” So that was Job’s mistake—he blamed God when he should have blamed Satan instead! Let’s also learn never to blame God for anything that happens in our lives!
