Devotion 1 of 2: Job 32
Elihu speaks for the 1st time in the book of Job. He is a model for the younger generation. He showed respect to his elders, keeping quiet while they spoke (v.4). But because they couldn’t help Job, he finally began to voice his opinion (v.3-10). And God uses him to finally open Job’s eyes to find the answer as to why he is going through such suffering. If you’re younger, let’s pray that we will be anointed to help meet people’s needs; and if you’re older, let’s pray for the younger generation to be used by God to meet people’s needs!

Devotion 2 of 2: Heb 4
(2/2)
The central topic of this chapter is rest. For Israel in the OT, one meaning of rest was entering the Promised Land (v.1-3). What would that mean in the NT? I think that would mean living a life free from works as v.10 says, “For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.” In other words, it means not having to work to be saved, like the Jews in the OT. It means to believe and get saved and not have to worry about whether you’re saved or not, whether your works are good enough or not, whether the sin you committed caused you to be unsaved or not, to have peace that you are a child of God, and he will surely welcome you into heaven when you die! Thank God for this rest!
