Devotion 1 of 2: Job 29

Job reveals what his past life was like in this chapter. We come to know that he lived a righteous and extraordinary life of honor in obeying God and helping others, especially those in need! Let’s seek to live a life like that, and if trials come our way, let’s remember that it may not be because of our failures, but Satan is attacking us to make us lose our faith in God. Lord, help us to be faithful to you!

Devotion 2 of 2: Heb 1

(2/2)
1) I believe Paul was the author of Hebrews because of the many fantastic revelations that are found in it. Only Paul had that kind of revelation about God, Jesus, salvation, etc., and I believe he got much of that through his NDE in Acts 14:19-20., when he was stoned but resurrected through his disciples’ prayers. 2 Cor 12:2-4 indicate Paul went to heaven and heard and saw amazing things, which, I believe, he wisely wrote about in his epistles as revelations from God without mentioning the NDE part. In Heb 1:2-3, Paul says Jesus was appointed heir of all things; he made the worlds; he is the brightness of the Father’s glory and express image of his person; and he upholds the universe by the word of his power! Wow! What a great being he is, and yet, he knows and loves each one of us!

2) The Father calls Jesus, “My Son,” in v.5, and then says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever,” in v.8, clearly showing that Christ was both God’s Son and God! This is another good Scripture to show Muslims who deny the deity of Jesus. Let’s really understand who our Savior is through this chapter!
