1) I think it was to prevent her father from worshiping them! She wanted her father to leave the idols and believe in the God of Abraham!
2) 10 times (v.7)! “10” is the number of testing! So Jacob was tested severely by Laban deceiving him and changing his wages 10 times, but he endured and continued working faithfully! So God rewarded him by showing him how to increase his flocks, and he became wealthy! Let’s also keep a good heart when we are tested! God is watching and will reward us!
GEN 32 sharing:
Jacob wrestled with God and prevailed, so his name was changed to Israel (v.28). This symbolized the change in his character that took place over the years he was at Laban’s. His walk or behavior also changed as he walked with a limp from that time on (v.31). I also want to wrestle with God and prevail and be changed in character!
