Devotion 1 of 2: Dan 10
1) 21 days. Daniel was fasting and mourning.
2) Because the king of Persia (the evil spirit over Persia) resisted the angel until Michael came to help him break through (v.12-13). When we pray and don’t receive an answer right away, it may be because evil spirits are blocking the answers from reaching us. So we should keep on praying until the breakthrough comes!

Devotion 2 of 2: Dan 9
*24. 70 weeks or 490 years are decreed for the Jews and Jerusalem for 6 things to happen, including Israel’s salvation and Jerusalem to become Jesus’ throne room (Most Holy Place).
*25. There will be 7 weeks (49 yrs.) and 62 weeks (434 yrs.) (total of 483 yrs.) between the decree to restore Jerusalem and the coming of the Anointed One. So the following is how this was or will be fulfilled:
457 BC. King Artaxerxes gives word for Ezra to complete work to restore Jerusalem (Ezra 7:11-28).
408 BC. It took 49 yrs. to complete restoration of Jerusalem, fulfilling 7 weeks portion of the prophecy. City was rebuilt in times of trouble!
27 AD. 434 yrs. later, Jesus receives baptisms of water and the Holy Spirit, becoming the Anointed One.

*26. 30 AD. After being anointed, Jesus put to death, and Roman ruler destroyed temple and Jerusalem. End will be flood of Armageddon. Wars and desolations throughout the diaspora.
*27. AC makes covenant for 7 yrs. In middle., he ends sacrifices and sets himself as God in temple. He will be destroyed in the end.
This is an amazing prophecy showing God’s plan for Israel from Ezra to Armageddon, from restoration to Jerusalem to restoration to God!
