Devotion 1 of 1: Lam 5
Jeremiah’s last words give us hope. He cries out to God to turn Judah back to the Lord to restore them (v.21). This prayer was answered after 70 years of captivity in Babylon, after the land was given rest for the many years the Jews had not given the Sabbath rest to the land (2 Chron 36:21).
