1) James 1:12. Crown of life to those who love the Lord and who endure temptations.
2) 1 Pet 5:1-4. Crown of glory to elders (bishops, overseers, ministers) who shepherd the flock well.
3) 2 Tim 4:6-8. Crown of righteousness to those who have kept the faith to the end and to those who love Jesus’ appearing.

In v.12, the Shulamite says to Solomon that he may have 1000. What does this mean? It could mean 1000 silver coins, mentioned in v.11. Or could it mean 1000 wives and concubines that Solomon eventually had? In the end, although this book is supposed to express the beautiful love between Solomon and the Shulamite, I don’t have good feelings about Solomon because of his 1000 women! Lord, help me to overcome personal feelings and receive the truths that you want to teach in this book!
