Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Cor 6
1) A pastor’s ministry should have sincere love (v.6) because that will become the foundation of his church. Without love, the church will have many problems, quarrels, clashes and splits. It will be miserable!
2) The power of God (v.7) is also important because healing, deliverance and miracles can bring revival and lead many souls to salvation!

Devotion 2 of 2: Eccl 6
Solomon says that even if a man has 100 children and lives a long life (to 1000 years twice in v.6!), if he is not satisfied with goodness, he is worse off than a stillborn child (v.3-6)! Why does he say this? Once again, it is because he started his reign obeying God (1 Kings 3:4-14), but because he married 1000 women, most of whom were pagan, he worshipped their idols and ended up living a sinful life away from God (1 Kings 11:1-13). That’s why he had no peace and joy and felt his life was worse than a stillborn child! I want to be like Solomon in his younger years, not like in his later years!
