Devotion 1 of 2: Luke 18
1) To overcome AC, we will need faith that will always pray and not lose heart (v.8, 1).
2) AC will persecute the church, stop worship services, burn our buildings, throw Christians in jail, and even kill some believers. So we may feel our prayers are not being heard, but if we continue praying and not lose heart, God will answer! On example of this is Acts 12, where Herod captured then killed James (Acts 12:2). Next he went after Peter and imprisoned him, intending to execute him, too (12:3-4)! But the church didn’t give up on prayer and fervently interceded for Peter (12:5)! This resulted in a complete reversal! Peter escaped from jail supernaturally, and Herod was struck by an angel, eaten by worms and died! Let’s not give up on prayer!

Devotion 2 of 2: Prov 18
V.16 says, “A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before the great.” This is true for natural gifts, such as music, scientific achievements, sports, etc., but I believe it’s also true for spiritual gifts. One example was Jesus. Because of his gifts and calling as the Messiah, the Jews wanted him crucified, and so he was brought before Pilate and King Herod. Another example was Paul. He was brought before Governor Felix (Acts 24), Governor Festus (Acts 25) and King Agrippa (Acts 26) because of his powerful ministry which the Jews were trying to stop! I believe because of the supernatural gifts working miracles in the LDC, we, too, will be brought before kings as Jesus prophesied about the endtime in Luke 21:12!
