Devotion 1 of 2: Luke 12
(3 servants are: A, B and C Servants)
1) A Servants wait for their master when HE RETURNS FROM HIS WEDDING and open the door when he knocks (v.36). So they MISSED THE RAPTURE AND JESUS’ WEDDING, either because they weren’t Christians yet or they were lukewarm Christians. But they repented and were faithful during the terrible trials of the tribulation, so Jesus said he would serve them (v.37)! They are late overcomers.
2) B Servants didn’t know when thief would come (v.39). They thought the master was delaying his coming and began to beat (criticize) his servants and become drunk (v.45). Their master will cut them in 2 and put them with unbelievers in the 2nd half of the tribulation (v.46). They are the lukewarm church.
3) C Servants were faithful and wise and were made rulers over their households to give food in due season (v.42). His master will make them rulers over all he has (v.44)! They are the LDC.

Devotion 2 of 2: Prov 12
One verse that struck me was v.10, “Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.” There are many people who treat animals cruelly, but there are also good people who show concern for animals. Some dog lovers hear of a stray dog and go and search for it! When they find it, the dog is usually afraid because of all the abuse they received. But by showing love, the dog rescuers slowly gain the animal’s trust, and in the end, it turns into a happy, playful pet and is adopted by a forever family! I think if the dog rescuers are Christian, when they get to heaven, there’ll be a big reward waiting for them!
