Devotion 1 of 2: Luke 8
1) The parable of the sower is found in v.4-15. One lesson we can learn from this parable is that 1 out of 4 seed fell on good ground and produced a 100-fold crop (v.8)! Jesus gave the spiritual meaning as some people had good hearts, received the Word of God, got saved and produced fruit (v.15). I want to pray that 1/4 of Japan’s population, or about 31 M souls, will get saved during the LDR!
2) Jesus told the demon-possessed man who was delivered to go home and tell the great things god had done for him, so he did and proclaimed to many people what Jesus did for him (v.39). When people are healed and delivered in the LDR, they will become on-fire evangelists and will lead many people to Jesus!

Devotion 2 of 2: Prov 8
V.11 says, “For (true) wisdom is better than rubies…” 9:10 says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” If we do not believe in or fear (respect) God, we can strive for wisdom, but we will end up with a cursed form of wisdom. Let’s look at 2 examples of this. Through the theory of evolution, much of mankind lost faith in God and came to believe science (wisdom) was the way to the ideal future. But that science produced the nuclear bomb, and now nuclear war is one of the greatest threats to mankind’s existence! Also, science produced new technology that made living much more convenient, but now the curses of technology are destroying the planet through deforestation, pollution, expansion of deserts, climate change and many other crises! Let us humbly recognize God first in our search for wisdom!
