Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Chron 10
When the people asked Rehoboam to lighten their work load, he listened to his friends’ advice and increased their work load! Not listening to the people caused them to rebel, and Israel was split in two! As leaders, we need to listen to the people and work together with them, not cause divisions!

Devotion 2 of 2: 2 Chron 9
1) She had heard rumors of Solomon’s wisdom and great kingdom, and she wanted to see if it was true or not (v.5-6), and also she wanted to ask many questions (v.2-3), probably about how to rule a nation so successfully, as Solomon was doing. Yes, Solomon answered all her questions (v.2), and she realized Solomon’s kingdom even surpassed the rumors she had heard (v.6)!
2) Seekers hear rumors or testimonies about Jesus, and they wonder if it’s really true or not, so they go to church to find out. We want them to visit churches and find out Jesus is even more wonderful, loving and powerful than the testimonies they had heard!
