Devotion 1 of 2: 1 Chron 8
I would like to use what Mamiko wrote in her devotions about 2 Sauls coming from the tribe of Benjamin (v.33; Phili 3:5). The 1st Saul was humble, tall and handsome when he was chosen to be Israel’s 1st king (1 Sam 9), but he ended up losing his throne because of pride and disobedience to God (1 Sam 15). The 2nd Saul persecuted the church because he thought they blasphemed God (Acts 9)! But the Lord saved him and transformed him into Christianity’s greatest apostle, using him to lead the church out of Judaism-control into true understanding of salvation by grace (Gal 1-2). Perhaps God used the 2nd Saul to redeem the failure of the 1st Saul?

Devotion 2 of 2: Titus 2
1) V.7-8 “Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works…so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.” Bible teaching of loving God and loving our neighbors as ourselves is the most important teaching in the Bible and will lead us to live a life of good works that will be a testimony of God’s kingdom!
2) If the church can practice love and not criticize, judge, or quarrel, but reconcile differences with humility and wisdom, we will have unity and be an effective witness for Jesus!
