Devotion 1 of 2: Ezek 22

In v.27-31, God says kings are like wolves, killing to get dishonest gain, and some prophets are smearing whitewash for them, prophesying lies. This has been happening in the U.S. with a politician committing many crimes but Christian leaders defending and supporting him! In Russia, also, the Orthodox Church supports Putin despite his horrific war crimes, murdering thousands of innocent civilians and abducting tens of thousands of Ukrainians to Russia! This is a preview of what will happen when AC appears! We need to be discerning and diligent to not sleep!

Devotion 2 of 2: Matt 22

MATT 22: In this chapter Jesus tells the parable of the wedding feast and debates with the Pharisees and Sadducees. Let’s seek the Lord and share what he shows us or answer one or more of these questions:
1) In the parable of the wedding feast, who do you think a) the guest in v.11 and b) his fate in v.13 represent, and what is c) the meaning of the wedding garment? (3 answers needed!)
2) In the story of paying taxes (v.15-22), what did Jesus mean by the 2nd half of his answer: Give…to God the things that are God’s and why do you think that? (Hint: Answer related to Caesar and the denarius.)

MATT 22 answers:
1) a) Someone who was a Christian in name only.
b) He was thrown out of heaven and probably into the place of torment in Hades to await the Great White Throne judgment (Rev 20:11-15).
c) The garment of salvation (Is 61:10)
2) Give or surrender yourself to God because man is made in the image of God so we should follow and obey him.
