Devotion 1 of 2: Ezek 3
1) Before we can declare God’s Word to others, we must eat, digest, understand and experience it ourselves.
2) So Ezekiel would not be afraid or dismayed at Israel’s resistance and rejection of his message (v.9, 11). We need this, too, because many in both the world and the church will reject our message also, and so we need to be strong so we don’t get discouraged.

Devotion 2 of 2: Matt 3
John the Baptist said Jesus would baptize us with the Holy Spirit and fire (v.11)! He further said that this fire would burn the chaff (flesh) off the wheat! I need this fire to burn my worldly and fleshly thinking! Being filled and led by the Spirit will be essential for the LDC to be purified and transformed! Do it in me, Lord!
