Devotion 1 of 2: Jer 35
1) They were a nomadic tribe that faithfully kept the lifestyle taught by their forefather of not drinking wine or doing farming or building houses but rather living in tents (v.6-7). Their forefather was Jonadab, or Jehonadab, son of Rechab, who lived 240 years earlier during Jehu’s time, helping him to cleanse Israel of the evils of King Ahab’s Baal worship (2 Kings 10:15-27).
2) As they were faithful to keep the good traditions and commands of their forefather, we should faithfully obey God, which Judah did not do (v.14).

Devotion 2 of 2: Rom 7
In v.7-25, Paul describes the futile battle of our flesh against sin and expresses his frustration at being held captive by the law of sin (v.23-24). But in v.25 he declares that victory comes through Jesus Christ! How? By Jesus dying for us and exchanging our sins for his righteousness! PTL!
