Devotion 1 of 3: Jer 33
God’s promise of restoring Israel is so solid and strong, like the surety of day and night (v.20)! Despite how devastated Babylon left them (v.10, 12), God said his people would return and live in joy and safety (v.11-13), and they will be like the stars and sand in number (v.22). God has given the same promise to the church of restoring her and making her number uncountable (Rev 7:9, 14).

Devotion 2 of 3: John 12
Jesus said in v.32 that if he is lifted up, he would draw all people to himself. Part of this was fulfilled through the cross, which has become the symbol of love and salvation and has drawn billions of people to Jesus to accept him as their Savior. Another part is fulfilled when we believers lift Jesus up through praise, testimony and our lifestyle to draw people to Christ. Let’s lift Jesus up on Resurrection Sunday, 4/9, so people will be saved!

Devotion 3 of 3: Rom 5
1) Because to overcome suffering we must learn how to not to give up but to endure. And learning how to endure helps us overcome impatience, anger, frustration, self-centeredness, etc. which develops our character! As a result, we now have hope to succeed in our studies, job, marriage, faith, life, etc. because character brings blessing, success, popularity, influence, etc. And that’s why we’re not ashamed because we succeed instead of fail, are accepted instead of rejected, are promoted instead of demoted!
2) a) We have peace with God (v.1).
b) We have the grace of God (v.15). This is important because by our efforts, we cannot do anything! We need God’s grace!
c) We can reign in life (v.17), not live as slaves, but live as kings, ruling over curses, sin, demons, sicknesses, etc.
