Devotion 1 of 1: 2 Sam 11

1) He was staying in Jerusalem while his army was fighting (v.1).
2) He was pure and loyal because he refused to eat as his house and sleep with his wife while Israel’s army was encamped in the open fields and fighting a war (v.11).
3) He ordered Uriah to be allowed to die in battle and then he married Bathsheba (v.14-17, 27).

2 Sam 12 answer: 1) To reprimand David for committing adultery with Bathsheba and killing Uriah to cover it up! And to pronounce judgment of the sword never departing from David’s house and adversity coming from his own house (v.9-11).
2) David acknowledged his sins (v.13).
3) He died (v.14, 18).
4) He gave him another son, Solomon, through Bathsheba (v.24).
