Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 116
David repeated several times in the psalms that he would fulfill his vows to the Lord (v.18)! What vows did he make? I believe he vowed not to speak negatively or complain but to thank and praise the Lord in all circumstances! But because of the many hardships he went through, he sometimes forgot his vows and complained! But then he would repent, ask for forgiveness and renew his vows! Let’s be like David and also try our best to give thanks and not complaints!
Devotion 2 of 2: Rev 14
1) They are the saved, overcoming Jews mentioned in Rev 7:1-8. 2) They will be tormented with burning sulfur forever with no rest (v.9-12). 3) The Feast of Tabernacles, which celebrated the grape harvest. 4) This shows that Jesus’ 2nd coming and defeating antichrist’s armies at the Battle of Armageddon will spiritually fulfill the last Feast of Tabernacles, thus completing the fulfillment of the 3 major feasts of Israel in the entire history of the church. Passover = Crucifixion; Pentecost = Outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2; Tabernacles = Jesus’ 2nd coming!
