Devotion 1 of 2: 1 Tim 6
Paul teaches that some think that godliness is a means to financial gain (v.5), but that really godliness plus contentment, not greed, is better and it leads to great gain! Today, there is much teaching about prosperity, that if you believe, or if you give, you will become prosperous, but, while it’s true that often God will bless his people with financial stability and even prosperity, that should not be our motive or goal in Christian living! Rather, we should be content with what the Lord gives us!

Devotion 2 of 2: Isa 66
I think: 1) v.7-11 are prophesying Israel’s national conversion at Christ’s 2nd coming. 2) I think v.14-16 are referring to Jesus destroying antichrist’s army at the Battle of Armageddon. 3) I think v.19-21 could be predicting the world-wide revival that the LDC will lead during the tribulation. 4) I think v.22-24 are talking about the Millennium period after the Battle of Armageddon.
