The problem in v.6-13 is idleness, or not working. Two principles that Paul recommends are: 1) Keep away from a believer who doesn’t work (v.6) and 2) if one doesn’t work, he shouldn’t eat (v.10).

Devotion 2 of 2: Isa 60
This chapter could apply to Israel. Verse 18 supports that view. This chapter could also apply to Jerusalem because v.14 supports that view. I think this chapter applies to the era of Israel’s restoration as a nation (v.4) and the Millennium Age after that (v.19-20).
