Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 33

Verse 16 says that no king is saved by the size of his army. This principle is being tested right now in Ukraine. Russia is far larger than Ukraine, but they may lose the war! We will see. In past wars, we have seen smaller armies defeat larger armies many times! One example is in Judges 7, Gideon’s army of 300 defeated the huge Midianite and Amalekite army by obeying God’s orders!

Devotion 2 of 2: Ps 34

Verse 20 says, “He protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.” This verse was fulfilled in Christ’s crucifixion when the Roman soldiers didn’t break Jesus’ legs to quicken his death because Jesus had already died. The Jews wanted the soldiers to break the legs of Jesus and the 2 crucified criminals so they could bury them before the Sabbath (John 19:31-36).
