Devotion 1 of 2: Isa 27
This chapter shows that God will restore Israel. How?
1. By slaying the reptile (Leviathan, serpent) in the sea. This is a reference to AC, the beast from the sea in Rev 13:1-4. Rev 19:19-20 and Zech 12:9 show Jesus will destroy AC at the Battle of Armageddon.
2-9. By showing care and mercy and removing her idols so she can blossom and be restored. Israel blossomed in 1948, when she became a nation.
10-11. By showing no mercy to Israel’s enemies. They will wither and be broken off (v.11) (Zech 14:3).
12-13. By gathering the Jews to their land, one by one, from Assyria, Egypt and other nations of the world.
Let’s pray for and support Israel’s restoration, remembering the church will also be restored, like Israel!

Devotion 2 of 2: 2 Cor 3
Just as there is a veil over the Jewish people’s eyes when reading the OT to prevent them from understanding that Jesus is the Messiah (v.14), I believe there is a veil over the Japanese people’s eyes to prevent them from realizing Jesus is the Savior of all mankind.
Let’s pray for both the Jews and Japanese, that their veils will be removed so both nations will recognize that Jesus is the Son of God, Messiah and Savior of the world!
