Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Cor 2
Paul has to deal with the problem of the how the Corinthian Church was acting toward the man who was having an affair with his father’s wife (his mother-in-law) (v.3-11). In 1 Cor, Paul rebuked the Corinthians for accepting him, even though he was living immorally, and ordered them to expel him from the church (1 Cor 5)!
So the Corinthians followed Paul’s instructions and expelled the man. But apparently, he repented and cut off the relationship, yet the Corinthians kept on rejecting him! So Paul had to rebuke them again! This time telling them to forgive him and receive him back!
Let’s be slow to judge but quick to forgive! If there is genuine repentance, let’s quickly put the past behind us and join hands to move forward! Lord, help us to forgive!

Devotion 2 of 2: Isa 26
In this song of Judah (v.1), v.19 applies to the rapture, “Your dead shall live; together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; for your dew is like the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.”
Let’s have a vibrant and expectant faith that God will fulfill his promise and certainly rapture his people from the earth and take us to heaven!
