I believe this chapter is prophesying Israel’s salvation and restoration to God at Christ’s 2nd coming. In v.1 we see the Jews (7 women) searching for answers in life and grasping for anyone who could help them. But those who escape AC’s invasion in the Battle of Armageddon will find the answer in Jesus, the Branch (v.2), when he returns!
Let’s continue to pray for Israel’s salvation and restoration to God to be completed!

Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 4
After Jesus reached 30, he received baptism from John in Luke 3:21-22. Then he was led by the Spirit into the wilderness for 40 days to be tempted by Satan (v.1-13). After he passed that test, Jesus entered the synagogue of Nazareth, read Is 61:1-2 and declared that this Scripture was being fulfilled that day (v.21). Then he confronted the people of Nazareth, was rejected (v.23-30) and from there he began healing and delivering the sick and oppressed (v.31-44).
Jesus is showing an example of achieving full maturity and then exercising spiritual authority by ruling over sickness and demons! Other examples are Joseph (Gen 41:46), Saul (1 Sam 13:1) and David (2 Sam 5:4). Let’s grow into full maturity so God can use us in the LDR!
