Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 7
In v.3-5, David shows responsibility for his behavior by saying if he has done any wrong, he deserves to be punished.
This is so different from a political leader in my country who is always blaming others, like the judge or the district attorney or the witnesses who testify against him or the Democratic party or the Justice Department or the president of the U.S., etc., for trying him in court for the crimes he committed! He shows no sense of responsibility for his very bad and even evil behavior, which includes raping women!
I want to be responsible, like David, to admit my fault when I sin and be willing to accept the punishment God gives me.
PS 8: Free sharing!
In v.3-8, David expresses awe at how God values man and has elevated him above his creation of animals, birds and fish. I believe in eternity God will even elevate man to rule over his entire created universe because he has made us to be the bride of his son, the co-creator of the universe!
