Devotion 1 of 2: Gen 17
In v.18, when he is 99 years old, Abraham can’t believe that he and Sarah would have a son (v.17) and cries out to God, “Oh, that Ishmael might live before You (v.18)!” God blessed this prayer by promising to multiply Ishmael exceedingly, giving him 12 princes and making him a great nation (v.20)!
But Abraham’s mistake would result in Ishmael’s descendants becoming the Arab people and eventually creating the Muslim religion, which has used the sword to spread to many nations!
Even great men of faith can make mistakes which can have catastrophic consequences! Although we have an awesome calling as the endtime revival church, let’s always be humble, knowing that we can make mistakes anytime!

Devotion 2 of 2: Gen 18
In v.17, the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing?” Abraham is a type of the LDC, to whom God wants to reveal what he will do in the endtime! But what did Abraham do with that revelation? When he realized God was planning to destroy Sodom for their sins, he interceded for the city and for the righteous people in it (v.20-33).
As God reveals more of his plan for the endtime, let’s also intercede for both believers and unbelievers; for believers, that they will realize they must prepare to face AC’s persecution, and for unbelievers, that they will realize that without Christ, they will enter the disasters of the tribulation!
