Devotion 1 of 2: Gen 19
Two angels visit Lot in Sodom and find the Sodomites given over to a homosexual lifestyle (v.1-11), which will cause the angels to destroy the city (v.13). This is why the days of Lot are a picture of the endtime (Luke 17:28-30). God is warning us that acceptance of LGBTQ lifestyle by many countries will be one of the reasons for the destructive calamities of the coming tribulation and for the end of this world age!
But the angels also rescued Lot and his family from the destruction of Sodom (v.12-17), which is a picture of Jesus rapturing the church before the calamities of T2, the last half of the tribulation, as prophesied in Rev 8-10, 14-19. Although Lot was not a type of the LDC, like Abraham, he did not compromise with Sodom’s immorality, so he’s a type of the Christian who is not LDC but who doesn’t compromise with AC.
However, Lot’s wife looked back at Sodom, which the angel forbad them to do (v.17), and she was turned into a pillar of salt (v.26). So she was a type of the compromising, lukewarm Christian who will not be raptured but will be left on earth and be destroyed during T2.

Devotion 2 of 2: Gen 20
This chapter is about Abraham and Sarah’s episode with King Abimelech. This is a repeat of their experience with Pharaoh in Egypt in Gen 12. When a story happens twice in the Bible, it means it’s teaching an important truth.
I believe the truth here is that in the endtime, Christian marriages will be severely tested in life and death situations when AC persecutes us. Abraham showed he was a good and wise husband by staying alive so he could protect Sarah (v.11-13), and Sarah showed she was a faithful and submissive wife by obeying Abraham (1 Pet 3:5-6). I also believe they were fervently praying for God’s protection during the tests.
So, endtime Christian husbands must love their wife and have wisdom in how to speak to protect her, and wives must submit to their husbands and trust God when AC attacks! Lord, help us to be like Abraham and Sarah so we can overcome AC’s persecution against Christian families in the endtime!
