Devotion 2 of 2: Mic 1
V.13 says that acquiring chariots and horses was the beginning of sin for Judah. 1 Kings 10:28-29 says that Solomon bought horses and chariots from Egypt, and 1 Kings 11:1 says he loved many foreign women, as well as the daughter of Pharaoh! So it was likely his desire to buy Egypt’s horses led to his marrying Pharaoh’s daughter and then other foreign women. Sadly, 1 Kings 11:4 says that when he got older, his wives turned Solomon’s heart to other gods. So Israel’s demise all began with horses!
