Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Cor 2
1) The problem was that a man was having an immoral relationship with his father’s wife, his mother-in-law (1 Cor 5:1). The Corinthians delivered that man to Satan and expelled him from the church so that he would repent and be saved (1 Cor 5:5).
2) Paul was now telling them to forgive and receive him back into the church obviously because he was sorry for his sin and had repented (v.7).

To find the meaning of life, Solomon tried pleasure (v.1-3), built projects (v.4-6), acquired wealth (v.7-8a), tried music (v.8b), and used his wisdom (v.9), but only found vanity (v.15) because every person, whether wise or foolish, rich or poor, successful or a failure, died in the same way and would soon be forgotten (v.12-16)! How thankful we have heaven and eternal life that we can look forward to when we die, so life is not meaningless!
