Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Kings 3
Jehoram, king of Israel, asked King Jehoshaphat of Judah to join him to fight against Moab (v.7), but when they ran out of water (v.9), Jehoram began to confess that Moab would defeat them (v.10)! But Jehoshaphat wanted a prophet to hear what God had to say (v.11). Elisha didn’t want to prophesy for Jehoram (v.13), but he did for Jehoshaphat (v.14). He prophesied that they would have water (v.17) and defeat Moab, too (v.18)!
