Devotion 1 of 2: 1 Cor 5

Paul ordered the Corinthian Church not to accept the sexually immoral person into fellowship but to kick him out of the church and deliver him to Satan so he would suffer in the flesh so that he might repent and be saved spiritually (v.5)! Recently, the Catholic Church and also Hillsong Church were condemned for not reporting pedophiles and rapists to the police for crimes they committed, but instead attempting to hide or rehabilitate them just by themselves to protect their reputation. By doing this, they prioritized themselves and sacrificed the victims of the crimes! When this was exposed, they faced a public backlash. The senior pastor of Hillsong was asked to resign, and the Catholic Church has to pay millions of dollars in fines, which will go to the victims of their crimes!

3) If he fulfills his duty, and the people respond, he will save them from the enemy (v.5b).
4) If he doesn’t fulfill his duty, and the people are killed by the enemy, their blood will be on the watchman’s hand (v.6).
5) The LDC is called to be a watchman to give warning that we will face AC during the 1st half of the tribulation!
