Devotion 1 of 2: 1 Cor 6
There was probably a culture of men hiring harlots to have physical relationships with them in Corinth, and some believers continued that practice even after becoming believers, so that’s why Paul had to teach them to stop that practice (v.15-16). The best guard against sexual immorality is to flee (v.18), as Joseph did when Potiphar’s wife tempted him (Gen 39:6-12).

Devotion 2 of 2: Ezek 34
1) Failure of feeding themselves but not their flocks (v.2-4). This applies to what leaders do when a failure like rape or pedophilia happens in the church, and rather than reporting it to the police as a crime, the leaders try to keep it a secret and handling it on their own without exposing the person responsible. But often they don’t care for the victims who are left with life-long scars that affect them terribly (v.4).
2) Failure by ruling with force or cruelty (v.4). This applies to strong leaders who hurt their believers and don’t apologize or repent or change. This often scatters the believers and causes them to leave the church (v.5).
