Devotion 1 of 3: Jer 34

On the brink of defeat to Babylon, God commanded the Jews to set their Hebrew slaves free (v.8-9). They obeyed and set them free (v.10) but right away made them slaves again (v.11)! God pronounced judgment against them in v.17: They would be afflicted by sword, pestilence and famine and would become a horror to all nations! We should seek God about how this applies to our day!

Devotion 2 of 3: John 13

1) On special occasions, it’s okay, but not regularly, like every Sunday.
2) Like once a year during camps.
3) By forgiving each other.

Devotion 3 of 3: Rom 6

1) Water baptism, or being immersed then raised up out of water, symbolizes the believer dying, being buried and rising up with Jesus. This means through true repentance and faith in Jesus, the believer died to his old life, buried his past sins and failures in the grave with Jesus, and rose up into a new life of walking with Christ.
2) Full immersion into water
3) I believe that is what Jesus provided for us through the cross. But if we don’t achieve it, we make it our goal and seek God and grow daily to reach that goal, knowing that in heaven we will certainly achieve it.
