Devotion 1 of 2: Job 4
Eliphaz is critical of Job saying that Job used to teach and strengthen others who had problems (v.3-4), but now that he has problems, he’s troubled and weary (v.5). He also thinks that Job sinned and now he’s reaping what he sowed (v.8).

Devotion 2 of 2: Matt 4
Matt 4 question: Answer only one of these 3 questions.
1) In v.1-11, what is one lesson we can learn from Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness?
2) In v.18-22, what can we learn from Jesus calling these 4 disciples?
3) In v.22-25, what does Jesus’ ministry show us about the Last Day Church?
Matt 4 answer (only 1 answer is necessary, but I will answer all 3 questions): 1) We can learn that just as Jesus responded to Satan’s temptations with the Word of God in v.4, 7 and 10, we should also use the Word to combat our enemy!
2) One thing we can learn from Jesus calling the 4 disciples is that they were called while on the job as fishermen, and the calling that Jesus gave them, becoming fishers of men, was related to their job! So many believers can serve God using the skills they acquired on their job! An example would be a high tech employee might use his skill on the computer to do ministry in the Tech Team.
3) Jesus’ ministry in v.22-25 shows us that the Last Day Church, which will be doing the works of Jesus (John 14:12), will be teaching the Bible, preaching the gospel, healing all sicknesses, and driving out evil spirits from many people who are weak, beaten down, oppressed and tormented by Satan. The result will be multitudes of people will come to all the churches doing Jesus’ ministry, perhaps numbering thousands or tens of thousands at each church.
