We can apply God’s command to not have differing weights or measures in our relationship with people by not having a different standard for ourselves and for others, by not favoring ourselves above others, by treating everyone, including ourselves, by the same standards.

Devotion 2 of 2: Rom 9
One example of God’s sovereignty is Israel. They were chosen by God to receive special blessings, such as sonship, covenants, God’s promises, etc. (v.4-5). Another example is Jacob and Esau. Although they were born twins, before their birth God chose to bless Jacob over Esau (v.10-13).
