Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 77
For 9 verses, Asaph’s mind was submerged by negative thinking. V.3 is an example: “I remembered God, and was troubled; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed.” The result of negativity was anguish in his soul (v.10a).
But then Asaph’s mind changed, as he declares in v.11a, “I will remember the works of the Lord!” and in v.13b, “Who is so great a God as our God?” The 2nd half of this psalm, from v.10b to 20 are completely different from the 1st half as Asaph confesses faith instead of doubt! Let’s not live in negative anguish but in positive praise!

9つの節にわたり、アサフの心は消極的な思考に沈んでいた。3節はその一例である。「私は神を思い起こして、思い乱れ、思いにふけって、私の霊は衰え果てます。」消極性の結果は、彼のたましいの苦悩であった（10節前半）。
しかし、そのときアサフの心は変わった。彼は11節前半で「私は主の御わざを思い起こそう」と宣言し、13節後半では「私たちの神のように大きな神が、だれかほかにいるだろうか」と宣言する。アサフが疑いではなく信仰を告白しているため、この詩篇の後半は前半とはまったく異なる。消極的な苦悩の中に生きるのではなく、積極的な賛美の中に生きようではないか。
Devotion 2 of 2: 1 Tim 1
V.18 says, “This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare.” Timothy received prophecies from Paul and other prophets concerning his gifts, callings and future ministry, which greatly helped him to overcome Satan’s attacks.
In a similar way, Joseph received prophecies about his future calling as a ruler through 2 dreams. Despite being severely tested by his brothers, then Potiphar’s wife, Joseph prevailed because of his dreams! Let’s also overcome through Bible prophecies about endtime revival!

18節には「わが子ティモテよ。以前あなたについてなされた預言に従って、私はこの命令をあなたに委ねます。それは、それらの預言によって、あなたがすぐれた戦いを戦い抜くためです」とある。ティモテは自身の賜物、召し、そして将来の働きに関する預言をパウロや他の預言者たちから受けており、それがサタンの攻撃に打ち勝つ上で大きな助けとなった。
同様に、ヨセフもまた2つの夢を通して、支配者としての将来の召しに関する預言を受けた。兄弟たちによって、そしてポティファルの妻によって厳しく試みられたにもかかわらず、ヨセフが勝利を収めることができたのは、彼の見た夢があったからである。私たちもまた、終末のリバイバルに関する聖書の預言によって、サタンと疑いに対して勝利を得ようではないか。
