Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 55
This psalm is about the pain caused by betrayal from a friend (v.12-13). David wrote in v.12-13, “For it is not an enemy who reproaches me; then I could bear it. Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me; then I could hide from him. But it was you, a man my equal, my companion and my acquaintance.”
The betrayer could have been Ahithophel, one of David’s aides who joined Absalom’s rebellion against David. Jesus suffered betrayal from Judas so He could heal the pain of all who are betrayed! Let’s turn to Him for healing whenever we are betrayed!

この詩篇は、友人の裏切りによってもたらされた痛みについて書かれている。ダビデは12-13節で次のように記している。「まことに、私をそしる者が敵ではありません。それなら私は忍べたでしょう。私に向かって高ぶる者が私を憎む者ではありません。それなら私は、彼から身を隠したでしょう。そうではなくて、おまえが。私の同輩、私の友、私の親友のおまえが。」
裏切り者は、アブシャロムの謀反に加わったダビデの補佐官の一人、アヒトフェルであった可能性がある。イエスは、裏切られたすべての人の痛みをいやされるため、ユダからの裏切りを経験されたのである。裏切られたときに、イエスからいやしを求めよう。
Devotion 2 of 2: Eph 1
Paul prayed for the Ephesians in v.18-19, that “…the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe…”
I believe this prayer applies not only to what God has prepared for His children in heaven, but also for the great plan He has prepared for His endtime church! Let’s seek to understand the greatness of His LD calling to us!
デボーション2/2：エペソ1章
パウロは18–19節でエペソ人たちのために、「…あなたがたの心の目がはっきり見えるようになり、神の召しによって与えられる望みがどのようなものか、聖徒たちの間で神の受け継ぐものがどれほど栄光に富んだものか、また、私たち信じる者に働く神の力の大きさがどれほど素晴らしいものであるかを、知ることができますように」と祈った。
この祈りは、神が天でご自身の子らのために備えられているものだけでなく、終末の教会のために備えられている偉大な計画にも適用されると信じる。神が私たちに与えておられる「終わりの時代」の召しの偉大さを理解するよう努めよう。
