Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 56
This psalm was written by David when the Philistines captured him in Gath in 1 Sam 21:10-15. This will apply especially to the LDC when AC persecutes and arrests them for refusing to worship his image or take his mark!
David cries out to God to turn back his enemies (v.9). He also puts his trust in God to answer his cries (v.11)! So, how did God lead David to escape without harm from the Philistines? David changed his behavior and pretended to be insane (1 Sam 21:13)! The Philistines thought he was crazy and let him go! Let’s believe God to save us from AC, also!

この詩篇は、ペリシテ人がガテでダビデを捕らえたとき（1サム21:10-15）に、ダビデによって書かれたものである。これは特に、反キが自らの像を拝むことや刻印を受けることを拒んだ終末教会を迫害し逮捕するとき、彼らに当てはまるであろう。
ダビデは敵を退かせてくださるよう神に呼び求め、神に信頼し恐れないと告白したのである（9-11節）。では、神はどのようにしてダビデを導き、ペリシテ人から害を受けることなく脱出させただろう。彼はふるまいを変え、気が狂ったふりをしたので、ペリシテ人は彼を気が狂ったと思い、解放したのである。私たちもまた、反キから救い出してくださる神を信頼しようではないか。
Devotion 2 of 2: Eph 2
This chapter shows more of the awesome calling God has given to His people, which will be fulfilled, not only in eternity but during the LD, too! V.6b-7 say that God “…has made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Jesus.”
Furthermore, v.10 says that we are God’s workmanship created for good works, which are Jesus’ works of John 14:12! Let’s do His miracles to help the sick and oppressed to show the riches of God’s grace to mankind!

この章は、神が教会に与えてくださったすばらしい召しをさらに描く。その召しとは、永遠にだけでなく、終末の日にも成就するものである。6b-7節には、神は私たちを天の所にともに着かせてくださったのは、「･･･あとに来る世々において、このすぐれて豊かな御恵みを･･･明らかにお示しになるためでした」とある。
さらに、10節には、私たちは良い行いをするために造られた神の作品であるとあるが、その良い行いとは、ヨハネ14:12のイエスのわざである。人類に神の豊かな恵みを示すために、イエスの奇跡を行って、病む者や虐げられている者を助けようではないか。
