Devotion 1 of 2: Josh 1
This book describes Israel being restored to the Promised Land God had given to Abraham. But this is only the start. Full restoration happened when King David led Israel into her Golden Age and fulfilled God’s calling for Israel to manifest His glory among the nations.
So, although Moses is a type of the LDC, in this chapter he is also a picture of the church which was delivered from Egypt (Reformation) and was led by the cloud (Holy Spirit Movement), but which didn’t enter the Promised Land (LDR). Let’s become the Joshua Generation that enters into the LDR!

この書簡は、神がアブラハムに与えられた約束の地へイスラエルが回復される過程を描写している。しかし、これはほんの始まりに過ぎない。完全な回復は、ダビデ王がイスラエルを黄金時代に導き、諸国の中で神の栄光をあらわすというイスラエルに対する神の召しを全うしたときに実現した。
したがって、モーセは終末教会の型であるが、本章において彼はまた、エジプトから救い出され（宗教改革）、雲に導かれながらも（聖霊運動）、約束の地（終末リバイバル）に入らなかった教会の姿をも象徴している。私たちは終末リバイバルに入るヨシュア世代となろう！
Devotion 2 of 2: Josh 2
This chapter tells the story of Rahab, a true hero of the OT. She hid and even lied to protect Israel’s 2 spies when they came to Jericho (v.1-7). And she encouraged them by informing them that Jericho had heard how Israel had defeated Egypt and the 2 Amorite kings and were shaking in fear (v.8-11).
Then she bargained with the spies for the protection of her family using a scarlet rope, which is a type of the blood of Christ (v.12-21)! I believe she was a harlot, not by her own choice, but because of being sold into slavery.

この章は、旧約聖書の真の英雄であるラハブの物語を伝えている。彼女は、イスラエルの二人の斥候（せっこう）がエリコに来た際、彼らを保護するために匿い、嘘さえついた（1-7節）。そして、イスラエルがエジプトとアモリ人の二人の王を打ち破った経緯をエリコの人々が耳にし、恐怖で打ち震えていることを二人に伝えて彼らを励ました（8-11節）。
その後、彼女は赤いひもを用いて、自分の家族の保護について斥候たちと取り決めた（12-21節）。この赤いひもは、キリストの血のひな型である。彼女が遊女であったのは自らの選択ではなく、奴隷として売られたためであったと私は信じる。
