Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 12
V.5 says, ““For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise,” says the Lord; “I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.” Normally, when a person begins to work, he wants to make as much money as possible because he is poor. And even after he gains wealth, that drive almost never stops.
So, the rich still want more, so they don’t share with the poor, resulting in poverty in society. But eventually, the poor rebel and overthrow the system, like in the French Revolution. Praise God because He helps the poor!

Devotion 2 of 2: Mark 12
V.1-12 is the parable of the wicked vinedressers. The symbolisms are: vinedressers = Israel, vineyard = God’s covenant blessings, owner = God the Father, servants = God’s prophets, son = Jesus and others = Gentiles.
The vinedressers were destroyed for rejecting the son. This symbolizes Israel being cut off from God’s covenant and also destroyed by Rome in 70 AD. When Israel is restored to the covenant, they will go through horrendous suffering again. Zech 13:8-9 say that 2/3 of Jews will be killed and only 1/3 will be saved. Let’s pray for Israel.
