Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 11
The theme of this psalm is the Lord tests both the righteous and the wicked (v.4-5), and He loves the righteous, but He hates and will severely punish the wicked (v.6-7).
Let us seek God for His grace to walk in righteousness. Let’s also pray for unbelievers to recognize their dreadful future in eternity without God and cry out to Him for forgiveness.

Devotion 2 of 2: Mark 11
The famous story of Jesus cursing the fig tree because it had leaves but no fruit is found in v.12-14, 20-24. The fig tree represents Israel, but the tree bearing no fruit symbolizes Israel’s religious system, the Law. So, when Jesus declared that no one would eat its fruit again, He meant the law, which was cut off by the cross.
Paul wrote in Rom 11:26 that all Israel will be saved (in the endtime), so the fig tree bearing no more fruit could not symbolize Israel. Let’s pray that God’s plan to restore Israel to Himself and the church to glory will be fulfilled!
