Devotion 1 of 2: Obad 1
This is the shortest book in the OT. It mainly focuses on Edom, the part they played in defeating Judah and the punishment they will receive as a result (v.10). Edom was the descendants of Esau, Jacob’s twin brother, who despised his firstborn birthright.
Restoration: V.17-21 declare God’s promise to deliver and restore Israel. Endtime application: The world will persecute the church and lukewarm believers will probably compromise, join AC’s forces and betray the LDC. But God will judge them. He will also completely restore the church into the powerful endtime revival church!

Devotion 2 of 2: Acts 28
In chapter 27, Paul’s status was elevated from being ignored to being honored! The church in Japan is largely ignored by society. But we want to be transformed into a powerful church that the world treats with respect!
We can learn how to be transformed in chapter 28. Once more, at the beginning Paul was looked down upon because a viper bit him (v.3). But Paul cast it off and suffered no bad effects, thus gaining high respect (v.6)! Later, Paul healed all the sick on the island of Malta (v.7-10). Let us also believe God for using us in healing the sick!
