Devotion 1 of 2: 1 Chron 8
This chapter records the family line of the tribe of Benjamin. Nothing notable is written about this tribe until the very last verse. V.40 says, “The sons of Ulam were mighty men of valor—archers. They had many sons and grandsons, one hundred and fifty in all. These were all sons of Benjamin.”
So, some people may look very ordinary, but if you look carefully, you will eventually find their special ability or gift! Often, their gift will also be their special mission in life. So let’s not look down on people who seem “ordinary,” but rather let’s look for their special gift and calling, and respect them for it!

この章はベニヤミン族の家系を記しています。この部族については、最後の節まで特筆すべきことは何も書かれていません。40節には、「ウラムの子たちは勇士であり、弓を引く人々であった。子や孫が多く、百五十人であった。以上はみな、ベニヤミン族の者であった。」とあります。
ですから、ごく普通に見える人でも、よく観察してみると、やがてその人の特別な能力や賜物を見つけることができるでしょう。多くの場合、その賜物は人生における特別な使命でもあるのです。ですから、「普通」に見える人を見下すのではなく、むしろその人の特別な賜物や使命を探し、それを尊重しましょう。
Devotion 2 of 2: Titus 2
Paul speaks words of sound doctrine in this chapter (v.1)! Then he instructs on how to live to older men (v.2), older women (v.3), young women (v.4-5), young men (v.6-8), and bondservants (salary men and women today) (v.9-10). In other words, sound doctrine is teachings about how to live right in society!
So, while we learn truths about LDR (Last Day Revival) and LDC (Last Day Church), let’s always tie those teachings to practical instructions about living a life that glorifies God!

パウロはこの章で健全な教えについて語っています（1節）！そして、老人たち（2節）、年をとった婦人たち（3節）、若い婦人たち（4-5節）、若い人々（6-8節）、そして奴隷（現代のサラリーマン）（9-10節）に、どのように生きるべきかを教えています。言い換えれば、健全な教えとは、社会の中でどのように正しく生きるべきかについての教えなのです！
ですから、終末リバイバルと終末教会の真理を学ぶ際には、常にそれらの教えを、神に栄光を帰す人生を送るための実践的な指示と結びつけていきましょう。
